Christmas in Year Six!

What an end to the term- we have been busy in Year Six! After such a hard-working term, it's been nice to enjoy some fun activities. We looked at the meaning of Christmas during our RE lessons and spoke about the importance of preparation when we looked at Advent and the birth of Jesus.

We then started our Christmas arts and crafts! We started by creating some cereal and chocolate Christmas trees and decorating them with sprinkles, chocolate and glitter. We even used them to decorate the tables at our Christmas party.

We then started our sewing task which we used to create our Christmas cards this year. It took a lot of patience but the final results are incredible. We are all so proud of what we have achieved, especially because most of the class have never attempted to sew before.

After that, we created some personalised baubles using paint pens and used them to decorate our class Christmas tree. They are extra special this year because it's their final Christmas at Holy Name.

At our party, the class played some exciting games and danced and sang some karaoke. I was impressed with their dancing and singing and can't wait to see their graduation performance now!

We finished by making some cereal and chocolate Christmas puddings which we think look so real!

We know that next term is going to be super busy so we're going to enjoy a nice rest before starting the hard work again in January!

I hope you all have a lovely holiday and a good rest! See you in the new year!

Miss Michael
