Here We Are: Notes for Living on Planet Earth

We have been delighted to welcome the children back to school!

Due to current conditions, we can no longer have whole school assemblies and each class bubble is kept separate. To compensate for this, we decided to start the year with every class using the same book as a stimulus to their learning. The book we chose is called Here We Are: Notes for Living on Planet Earth. It was written by Oliver Jeffers for his son and provides a guide to our home - planet Earth.

Over the last three weeks, children have used the book and its wonderful illustrations to talk about our world and how it has felt different lately. Classes have discussed what a beautiful planet God made and how, sadly, we do not always take care of it or each other. However, the future is bright as our children have written words for the world, examples of which can be found on the school Facebook page.

Here is a link to the book so that you can continue to share it at home: Here We Are by Oliver Jeffers

Many thanks,

Miss Sullivan
